How to update and upgrade Ubuntu Server? using command line
Ubuntu and Debian use .deb type of file types they use for package management.
You can update Ubuntun or any Debian based linux using apt-get: Command line tool.
- Open up a terminal window.
- Issue the command sudo apt-get upgrade.
- Enter your user’s password (if you didn’t login as root)
- To accept all updates click the ‘y’ key (no quotes) and hit Enter.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
